The Soil as a Foundation

For us, the soil of De Groote Voort is more than just earth. It is a living foundation that determines how our pastures grow, how our cows eat, and ultimately how our products taste. A natural mix of grass, clover, and herbs arises on our plots. This variation gives our Jersey cows exactly what they need: nutrition that is rich, varied, and comes directly from the power of the soil.

Our way of working is entirely focused on strengthening the soil life. We only fertilize with stable manure and organic material and do not use artificial fertilizers or pesticides. This keeps the soil healthy, resilient, and balanced. By letting the animals graze day and night, a natural cycle of nutrition, rest, and recovery is created.

The Taste Begins in the Soil

You can directly taste the quality of our soil in all our products. The variety of grass, clover, and herbs gives the milk a rich structure and a distinctive flavor. That milk forms the basis for our cheeses, ghee, and even our whey beer. The purity of the land translates into the purity of the milk, and you can taste that in every bite and every sip.

Our products are not only the result of craftsmanship but also of years of careful soil management. Healthy plants and strong cows together form a natural chain that leads to pure, flavorful, and honest products. Everything we make carries the story of our soil with it.
